WHAT ABOUT BUSTER, COCO AND FINCH?

That gazing look, that timid meow, that purrfect purr, that wagging tail that never stops are just a few things playing on ones guilt while packing that big bag when the time comes for that long awaited family vacation, or that extremely important business trip. How does one explain to a loyal and unconditionally loving family member of another furry or feathered persuasion that you have to go away temporarily?

Your options are a few depending on your budget and what services you are looking for:
1) Have a great reliable friend known to your pets stay in your home and who also spends time with them.
2) Hire a Professional Pet Sitter that is licensed, insured and bonded and who knows how to deal with emergencies. As this        is a job, and definitely more than 'just pet care', it will cost a bit more than boarding at a Kennel. The advantage is that        the pet will remain in its regular, safe and known surroundings. Your home will also be checked on daily, your mail                brought in and it's a deterrant from burglaries and theft etc. Your pet will be less likely to catch 'a bug' from other pets.        Many Sitters also offer additional services to help your needs. Just ask them.

3) Boarding at a Kennel or a Veterinary Hospital. This may be the best option for destructive pets with separation anxiety.        The disadvantages are that the surroundings are unfamiliar, sick animals may be around and the price not much less             than hiring a pet sitter. Ask the Kennel or Vet Clinic/Hospital if there is staff around all the time.  An animal that is sick         should be under a Veterinarian's care.

If your decision comes down to hiring a Professional Pet Sitter, make sure to ask many questions. Detailed information and references should be provided.
